OK so I haven't written for a while. Not used to this blog thing yet. And I'm posting again about Kyle & Jamie!
Last weekend Nelson & I traveled up to Vernon, CT, to attend Jamie's bridal shower. Her Mom & friend Lori did an amazing job planning the event, transforming their church's reception area into an elegant space. Turquoise tablecloths and pansies adorned the tables. A light lunch of spinach salad, finger sandwiches, and veggie puffs, made a fantastic afternoon meal.
Jamie was less than surprised (she had serious suspicions as to whether or not a friend's son was actually getting baptised), but she was thrilled with the outcome nonetheless.
Oh and I can't forget to mention the dessert! We had mini cupcakes from Crumbs Bakery (so rich, so delicious); edible arrangements with pineapple, melon, and chocolate covered bananas & strawberries (yum...); and a traditional Lithuanian cake, Shakotis, made from eggs, flour, and sugar (honoring Kyle's family heritage).
Nelson, Kyle, and Jamie's brother, Eric, spent the afternoon at Wood 'n Tap, leaving the ladies to their fun.
