Those Summer Nights!

How hot is New York in the summer?  So hot.  So very hot.

Nelson & I have an air conditioner in the living room, but that leaves only a fan to keep us cool in the bedroom on the sweltering nights.  I can't remember a hotter summer than this one. (I guess if I really think hard I remember my first summer in NYC was pretty warm:  Brooklyn 2005, I lived with Kevin & Mel, no AC -- we couldn't afford one, let alone the power to keep it going.  Kevin looked up alternatives to keeping cool and found that you should breath into a cup full of ice.  Let me save you the trouble of trying, it doesn't work!)

Anyway, Charlie has taken up his permanent residence in the bathroom on the tile floor.  I found him there at 1am on a Saturday night like this:

Now I remember why we chose to get married in October!  Hopefully it will cool off by then.
