Our Invitations

As you all know, our invitations are out and in your hands!  It really went smoother than I had anticipated.  I don't think we had one casualty.

Nelson found this great store in NYC called Paper Presentation, where we purchased all of our paper.  They make it so easy -- the store sells all colors of paper in a range of sizes that work together.  We were thrilled to come across the wood grain covers with a simple slot inside.  We tried to focus on keeping the invitations classic and uncomplicated, since more elaborate info is provided on our website.  It was also important to us that we use paperless responses to minimize resources -- and we are really enjoying the messages that everyone is sending us in their RSVPs!

After we designed the invites, Nelson meticulously printed each one.  When we went home a couple weeks ago, we formed an assembly line to get the job done.  We decided to use spray Elmer's glue to stick it all together.  (At the end of the process we needed to get some fresh air.)

Our final touch was the skeleton leaf on the outside cover.  (The leaves were from Save on Crafts.)We were a little nervous that the leaves would be too fragile and that the glue wouldn't work well on them, but they adhered perfectly!
